Cristiano Ronaldo to have knee treated by famous ‘placenta doctor’

Serbian newspaper The Informer reports that Ronaldo is keen to be treated by the Dubai-based doctor, who has already treated a number of footballers including Vincent Kompany and Robin van Persie.

Ronaldo is believed to have suffered a partial tear of his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) - an injury that forced him off after 25 minutes of the Euro 2016 final following a challenge by Dimitri Payet.

Kovacevic’s methods are said to regenerate muscle tissue after a week’s treatment, with Ronaldo expected to be out for five months ruling him out of the Super Cup against Sevilla.
