British Ski and Snowboard (BSS) has had a change in key positions in recent months with Dan Hunt being appointed performance director in October 2016 and Rory Tapner – former CEO of Coutts – also becoming the new chairman.
In recent years British freestyle skiers and snowboarders have emerged as some of the best in the world, beginning with Jenny Jones' bronze medal in snowboard slopestyle at Sochi 2014.
And just this season GB's Park and Pipe squad have racked up five World Cup podium spots – including one gold – as well as two Winter X Games medals – including another gold – and podium spots at other high profile freestyle events.
Dave Ryding is leading the alpine charge, too, taking Britain's first World Cup podium since 1981 with slalom silver in Kitzbuhel.
And Hunt is keen to capitalise on the current successes, building a sustainable production line of talent for generations to come.
"We have a very clear plan of how we can work towards our long-term goal," he said.
"We are already one of the world's strongest nations in the Park and Park disciplines, and we truly believe that if we can bring in the right coaching talent, and of course the funding, we can develop a world-beating nation across all snowsport disciplines, including those in which we currently only have a few athletes, such as Ski Jumping."
With Tapner at the helm, BSS are hoping to put in place a reliable funding structure, rather than having to rely on donations from athletes, their friends and families.
"We have got to where we are today with huge help from our principle sponsor Delancey, and of course from UK Sport and the National Lottery for our Park and Pipe athletes," added Tapner.
"Athletes, parents and friends also make financial contributions, but to try and become one of the best snowsports nations in the world, bringing money in to realise this dream is vital.
"We launched the British Snowsports Fund because we know skiers and snowboarders are passionate and want to support our elite athletes.
"We are also on a clear mission to bring in money from commercial partners and would appeal to any companies interested in supporting British snowsports to get in touch."
