Dominik Paris became the first Italian to win multiple World Cup downhill victories in Kitzbuehel as France also celebrated having two skiers on the podium.
Four years after his last downhill victory in the Austrian resort, Paris was back on top of the podium after posting a time of 1:55.01.
That was 0.21 seconds quicker than Valentin Giraud Moine in second with French compatriot Johan Clarey third, a further 0.12 seconds back.
Paris helped create further history for his country as they celebrated back-to-back downhill wins on the Streif for the first time following Peter Fill's win last year.
The latter finished fourth on Saturday, 0.40 seconds behind his teammate.
Paris now tops the World Cup leaderboard after three World Cup races on 142, two clear of Aksel Lund Svindal with Fill third on 139.
Paris also moves up to eighth in the overall standings on 339 with Marcel Hirscher holding the leaders bib on 980.
