The 27-year-old, who has been on the podium three times this season, needed the 100 points on offer for the win to secure the overall Super-G title and she duly obliged taking her tally to 435 points.
Ilka Stuhec finished second on the day, 0.35 secs shy of Weirather’s time of 1:11.66, with Federica Brignone completing the podium.
Three-time world junior champion Stuhec, who sealed the World Cup Downhill title on Wednesday, had to settle for second spot in the overall Super-G standings, just five points behind Weirather.
Lindsey Vonn was 0.18 secs shy of Weirather at the second split as she chased a 78th World Cup win but straddled a gate before crashing.
