This little kid probably just saved his brother's life with a stupendous catch

Ten-year-old Jeremiah Sprague has become a celebrity in the USA for his wonderful skill, which came when the Bays' Asdrubal Cabrera hit a home run.

But even as fans were celebrating, one family started to get worried: Sprague's.

Scariest of all, the ball was headed directly for the head of his two-year-old brother, Luke.

"I'm surprised I even caught that because it came down really fast," the 10-year-old told his local TV station, 10 News. "I'm just proud of myself because this is my first time catching a homerun ball."

His dad Daniel admitted that he "was definitely freaking out" as the ball came down.

"I was looking over pointing to him like, 'You caught the ball!' My entire life I've never caught a homerun ball and I've been to lots of games."

Let's just hope that Daniel's delight was more about his son's safety than the fact that they family has a new mantelpiece ornament. But something about the tone of his comments tells us that it's a toin coss over which part of the amazing moment got him more worked up.
