The 18,000-seat facility will be called the Chase Center. It is scheduled to open for the 2019-20 campaign.
Financial terms were not released by the club, but published reports pin the price at between $15-20 million annually.
"These deals don't usually come together as quickly as this one did," Warriors president Rick Welts told the Sports Business Daily. "We had commonality in terms of goals and it allowed us to progress quickly, which was unique."
The arena was originally scheduled to open one season earlier but the club is facing opposition from the Mission Bay Alliance, a group that opposes the building of the facility.

NBA security officials interviewed Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan regarding the incident involving Blake Griffin and Matias Testi in Toronto that resulted in a broken hand for Griffin and facial injuries for Testi.
Jordan and assistant athletic trainer Joe Resendez were interviewed and the NBA plans to interview Testi and Griffin as soon as possible, the Los Angeles Times reported.
No charges were filed but coach Doc Rivers referred to the incident as a legal matter and the league could fine or suspend Griffin for his conduct.
Rivers said Testi is welcomed back to the team and Griffin could be back with the club by Friday after he underwent surgery on his broken hand that will sideline him four to six weeks.
