The Norwegian stopped the clock in a time of 24:18.40 for his second sprint win in Hochfilzen, Austria – the last coming back in 2014.
His flawless shooting was enough to get the better of Martin Fourcade, who was 12 seconds off the pace but still did enough to take second place.
He too had no shooting faults, as did Slovenia's Jakov Fak who rallied his way to the bronze medal.
But nobody could stop Boe from celebrating his 15th World Cup victory, ten of which have come in sprint events.
"It is always better to be first rather than second. I was lucky to shoot clean," he said.
"That is what I needed to get the win. My plan was like: go until you die, attack all the way. If you want to win, you cannot save the power. I was quite tired in the last loop, but I managed to hold on."
Many had seen the contest already over after the standing shooting element of the competition, with Fourcade still not able to wrestle the initiative despite firing quicker than his normal pace.
But a second place finish was far from anything to complain about for the Frenchman, while a second podium in a row came the way of Fak after he took third.
