German team seal third Biathlon relay win of the season
Germany's Vanessa Hinz, Maren Hammerschmidt, Franziska Hildebrand and Laura Dahlmeier took their third Biathlon relay win by 24.2 seconds over France.
The German team had 12 spare rounds and finished the 4x6km relay in 1:09:12.2 with France beating Italy into second place in Antholz.
France's Anais Chevalier had given her team the lead after the first leg, 0.4seconds ahead of the Germans at the first exchange.
But Hammerschmidt had a near-perfect shooting range and put Germany ahead by the second handover.
And despite some issues on the range for Hildebrand and Dahlmeier, the latter was able to pick up a German flag before crossing the line victorious.
"My shape was very good today, I felt very good also on my skis," said Hammerschmidt.
While Dahlmeier added: "I ski much better than some days before. On the shooting range I have to be more focused. I have to shoot clean next time."
