Koukalova takes second successive World Cup victory
Gabriela Koukalova shot clean in the women's sprint to take her second IBU World Cup victory in a row in Oberhof on Friday.
Czech Koukalova - who won the mass start in Nove Mesto last month - covered the 7.5km course in a time of 21:56.9, with Finland's Kaisa Makarainen finishing second with two penalties, 21 seconds back.
France's Marie Dorin Habert placed third with one penalty, 23.7 seconds behind the winner.
Koukalova skied conservatively on the first loop, before clean shooting in prone and taking control of proceedings.
She then shot clean from standings ahead of a strong last loop to secure the win.
Koukalova sits third in the World Cup standings on 365 points while Laura Dahlmeier continued to lead with 410.
