Double Olympic champion Martin Fourcade put Thursday's World Cup sprint disappointment behind him to storm to a comfortable victory in the men's 12.5km pursuit in Oberhof despite strong winds.
Fourcade finished in an unfamiliar eighth place on Thursday, failing to make the podium for the first time this season.
However, that was all a distant memory as the five-time World Cup winner clinched his eighth win of the season by over a minute.
The 28-year-old picked up one shooting penalty but was even able to glide over the finish line backwards in 36:45.7 minutes as his rivals failed to mount a serious challenge.
Germany's Arnd Peiffer finished second, 1:09.9 minutes back with Dominik Windisch completing the podium for Italy in third.
Fourcade extends his World Cup lead to 562, 210 points clear of Anton Shipulin of Russia who could only manage a 16th-place finish on Saturday.
