American Elana Meyers Taylor clinched victory in the fifth bobsleigh World Cup race of the season in St Moritz by just one hundredth of a second from reigning Olympic Champion Kaillie Humphries.
Canada's Humphries and her brakewoman Melissa Lotholz had been leading at the half way stage after posting a time of 1:08.35 to Meyer Taylor's 1:08.41 which was third fastest behind compatriot Jamie Greubel Poser.
But Meyers Taylor and her brakewoman Briauna Jones broke the season track record with a time of 1:07.73 on her second run to finish with a combined time of 2:16.14.
Humphries and Olympic bronze medallist Greubel Poser were unable to beat it on their runs, having to settle for second and third, 0.01 and 0.015 seconds back respectively.
Defending World Cup Champion Humphries extends her lead slightly in the overall standings to 1044 points, 35 ahead of Greubel Poser with Meyers Taylor up to fourth with 870.
