They edged out Olympic silver medallists Oskars Melbardis and Daumants Dreiskens in Winterberg.
Hot on the heels of their season opening win in Altenberg last weekend, the German duo gave again their home fans plenty more to cheer on Saturday morning.
They put themselves in the driving seat after the first run with an impressive time of 55.02 seconds, 0.17 seconds clear of Latvia's Melbardis and Dreiskens.
And while unable to keep that form going on the second run – posting 55.35 seconds, which was 0.04 seconds slower than the Latvian duo – the Germans had enough time in the bank to take the win with an overall total 1:50.37 minutes.
Melbardis and Dreiskens finished on 1:50.50 while South Korea's Won Yunjong and Seo Youngwoo were third with 1:50.71.
For the Brits, Lamin Deen and Jordan Smallin were 21st with Oliver Biddulph and Ashley Watson 28th – both crews completing just the one run.
