For the third race in a row, Friedrich and his partner Thorsten Margis were followed in second place by Latvian Oskars Melbardis and Daumants Dreiskens.
Friedrich’s fellow German Nico Walther and Marko Huebenbecker were also on the podium after finishing 0.1 seconds ahead of Canadian Justin Kripps and Alexander Kopacz.
Friedrich and Margis broke the Konigssee record on their first run with a time of 49.29 seconds and the Latvian duo were again second with 49.48.
The successful German partnership have now picked up maximum points from Altenberg, Winterberg and Konigssee to top the standings on 675 points after three races, with Melbardis and Dreiskens 45 behind after a trio of second-place finishes.
South Korean Won Yunjong remains third despite a sixth-place finish this weekend having come third in the opening two World Cups.
