Germany locked up the podium with a dominant display in the four-man bobsleigh at Winterburg.
Francesco Friedrich, Martin Puze, Jannis Baecker and Thorsten Margis took home World Cup gold but they had to some from behind after sitting third at the halfway stage.
Compatriots Maximilian Arndt, Kevin Kuse, Alexander Roediger and Ben Heber clocked 55.28 seconds on the opening run to hold the narrowest of leads from Switzerland in second.
However, Friedrich and co flew back in the second run, finishing in 55.23 seconds and jumping to the top of the podium, 0.05 seconds better off than their countrymen across the two runs.
And the Swiss quartet dropped out of the top three altogether with a disappointing second run, allowing Nico Walther, Marko Huebenbecker, Christian Poser and Philipp Wobeto, also of Germany, to pinch bronze.
