Jamie Greubel Poser edged out compatriot and World Cup champion Elana Meyers Taylor to take victory in the women's bobsleigh World Cup in Winterberg.
The 2014 Olympic bronze medallist and her brakewoman Cherrell Garrett had a 0.18 seconds lead after the first run after posting a time of 56.74 seconds.
And while dropping a shade in the second with a time of 57 seconds flat, it was still enough for them to edge out Meyers Taylor and Kehri Jones by 0.15 seconds.
The latter had in fact set a new push-start record of 5.43 seconds on their second run but they could not make up enough time on the latter part of the course to overtake the leaders.
Third place went to Olympic champion Kaillie Humphries of Canada and brakewoman Mellisa Lotholz, 0.35 seconds back.
After the second of eight races in this season's World Cup, Humphries and Greubel Poser after tied for top place in the overall rankings with 425 points.
