Switzerland's Rico Peter piloted his sled to four-man bobsleigh gold in the latest World Cup event in Lake Placid.
Peter and his crew - Janne Bror van der Zijde, Simon Friedli and Thomas Amrhein - stopped the clock in 1:48.31, to finish ahead of the American sled piloted by Steven Holcomb having topped the standings after both runs.
The Americans crossed the line in 1:48.70, pushing Chris Spring's Canadian sled into bronze medal position by just one hundredth of a second.
Codie Bascue's sled just missed out on a medal position with a time of 1:48.76 to finish fourth with a Korean crew in fifth, while Lamin Deen's Great Britain crew crossed the line just half a second slower than the winners to place sixth.
