Teenager McNeill wins World Junior bronze

Britain's status as a bobsleigh nation on the rise again has been further underlined after Mica McNeill claimed bronze at the World Junior Championships in Austria.

The 19-year-old made an impressive start to the year by winning silver at the inaugural Winter Youth Olympics in Igls in January alongside brakewoman Jazmin Sawyers.
And McNeill ensured she ended the year in a similar fashion after claiming bronze at the World Junior Championships on the same track where she won Youth Olympic silver.
McNeill, this time partnered by Nikki McSweeney with Sawyers back concentrating on athletics shortly after their success together, clocked 54.49seconds on their first run to place third.
And she maintained that position, despite going slower in 54.65 second time out, for an overall time of 1:49.14minutes that was 0.12 ahead of Switzerland's Edith Burkard in fourth.
There was to be no stopping Germany's Miriam Wagner though as she posted runs of 53.75 and 54.05 to win by 0.14 ahead of teammate Stefanie Szczurek with McNeill over a second behind.
However McNeill's medal follows on from Paula Walker's gold in February 2011 and continues an impressive season to date for Britain who have been making waves on the World Cup circuit.
Walker has finished in the top ten in every race this season with two sixth-place finishes while ahead of round five at La Plagne John Jackson's four-man crew sit fifth in the overall rankings.
