The prospect of achieving yet more Olympics history will be the driving force behind Nicola Adams' bid for another boxing gold at Rio 2016.
Adams, 33, was the first female to ever win a women's boxing gold four years ago in London and since then she has added Commonwealth, World and European titles in the flyweight division to complete a clean sweep.
That fact - and the celebrity perks she now enjoys as one of Team GB's most recognisable athletes - have not dulled her enthusiasm for more glory, though, and the chance to become the first Briton since Harry Mallin in 1924 to win back-to-back Olympic boxing golds has spurred her on during those cold, wet winter Sheffield mornings.
"Definitely the motivation for me this time around is the fact I'll be making history again, hopefully becoming a double Olympic champion," she told Press Association Sport from Team GB's training camp in Belo Horizonte.
"We've never had one before in the women's and we haven't had one in the men's for a long time. I'm here to get rid of this drought of double gold medallists and hopefully I can achieve that.
"That makes it more exciting for me. I love the excitement, that every time I step into the ring I'm creating history. It gives me the motivation to get up and train every morning, when it's cold outside or it's raining, it's like 'yeah, I want to create history, I want to do something amazing'."
Adams also appreciates that the plethora of golds she has won across the board makes her the person all of her opponents want to beat - an issue she did not have to encounter in the build up to London.
"It just gives me more motivation," she said of being favourite to win again.
"There's times when I don't want to get up in the morning and I think I don't want to train today (but then) I think my opponents are out there thinking, 'I want to be an Olympic gold medallist, I want to be Nicola Adams, what she's got'.
"That gives me more motivation to keep going, keep performing, keep making history and winning gold medals."
The smile which helped make Adams one of the most popular Olympians has not disappeared even if life has changed permanently since 2012.
Having once worked as an extra on television shows to fund her love of boxing, she is now the one being invited to attend premieres.
"Life's changed a lot for me but I'm still the same person," she added.
"It's been nice to go to movie awards, TV shows, receive an MBE from the Queen and being able to inspire other children to get involved in sport. It's been an amazing journey."
