Promoter Frank Warren says the double Olympic champion can fight for a major belt "sooner rather than later" after her debut win over Virginia Carcamo.
Adams made her debut in the flyweight division but is likely to move up as far as bantamweight as she continues to accumulate experience.
Mexicans and South Americans dominate the women's lower weight rankings with a number of vastly-experienced campaigners currently clinging onto the biggest belts.
Here Press Association Sport looks at three prospective opponents for Adams as she aims to round off her career in style.
JESSICA CHAVEZ: The 28-year-old from Mexico City has been the world's dominant flyweight since 2009 and currently holds the WBC crown. She has only lost four of her 35 professional bouts but is yet to fight outside her native country.
MARIANA JUAREZ: The vastly-experienced 37-year-old Juarez boasts a 58-fight professional record and has held significant women's world titles at three different weights. But like many of her contemporaries, she could be hard to prise out of Mexico.
ZULINA MUNOZ: The reigning WBC super-flyweight champion Munoz, another Mexican, holds the most impressive record of 28 wins from 31 fights including 28 stoppage wins - a rare feat in women's boxing. Won her current title in 2012 and has made 12 consecutive defences.
