The pair have already met the qualification criteria for the Olympics in South Korea, along with Callum Smith and Annika Taylor.
These four will make up the elite squad, with Musgrave the star of the show having finished fourth in the men's 50km freestyle race at the World Championships earlier this year – the best result ever for a British Nordic skier.
Young also achieved a British first when he made it onto the podium at a 2015-16 FIS Cross-Country World Cup event in Toblach, Italy, finishing third in the Sprint Freestyle final.
Snapping at their heels is 20-year-old James Clugnet, currently based in Grenoble, who may yet meet the Olympic qualifying criteria and is named in the performance squad.
The senior and junior squads are also littered with Huntly athletes, with four of the five squad members from the Scottish town.
The team has two new full-time coaches, Jostein Vinjerui and Hans Kristian Stadheim and with just eight months to go until the Winter Olympics, British Nordic head coach Roy Young believes there are medals on the cards.
He said: "We are coming into a very exciting time for British Nordic.
"We have athletes who are capable of podium finishes at world class level, and it is looking like we will take at least four athletes to PyeongChang 2018 to represent Team GB.
"Our two new world-class coaches are already making a huge impact on all our athletes, and the spirit within the team is on a real high. We can't wait to get started."
