After losing their opening match of the Championships to Sweden on Saturday, PyeongChang-bound Muirhead and her rink bounced back on Sunday morning with victory over Russia before returning to the ice to take on Denmark.
And while they may have required an extra end to see off Russia there was no such repeat in their second match of the day as Scotland wrapped things up after just eight ends.
They opened the scoring with two points in the first end and secured the win with single point steals in both the seventh and eight ends to finish with a 6-1 scoreline.
That moves them up to fifth in the round robin standings but they are still behind the unbeaten trio of teams.
Italy were pushed all the way by Russia in the evening session though with skip Diana Gaspari drawing her final stone into the house to score three points on the final end and give her side a 9-8 win.
Sweden beat Turkey 7-1 to end their unbeaten start while Switzerland defeated Hungary 8-6 to also inflict a first loss on their opponents.
And the remaining clash saw the Czech Republic pick up their first win thanks to a 9-5 victory over winless Germany.
