Boom! Lars Boom wins stage five of BinckBank Tour with solo effort

Boom was thrilled with his effort as he relieved Stefan Kung of the green jacket to edge two seconds ahead of world champion Sagan in the GC standings.
The spring Classics were not what I hoped for this year, and there was a lot of anger and happiness when I passed the finish with this victory. I’ve worked really hard in the last few weeks and months to get back in good shape, that’s why I’m so happy.
There are two stages of the race left with 203.7 km to cover between Riemst and Houffalize on Saturday.
