Great Britain's Emily Kay and Emily Nelson won silver in the women's madison at the European Track Championships in Paris.
Kay and Nelson took the top points from the first two sprints in the 120-lap race, but dropped to fourth place with 10 laps remaining.
However, they took maximum points from the final sprint to come in second behind Belgian pairing Lotte Kopecky and Jolien D'Hoore.
"It was a tough race but we fought all the way so we're really happy to take silver," 21-year-old Kay, from Bromsgrove, told britishbycling.org.
Nelson, 19, from Lichfield, added: "I think we went a little bit big at the start and paid for it in the middle but we came back strong from fourth place."
The men's race saw British duo Ollie Wood and Mark Stewart finish in 15th place, while Joe Truman came sixth in his first elite level European keirin final.
