Greg Van Avermaet completes unlikely Classics hat-trick

Greg Van Avermaet continued his remarkable form to win Gent-Wevelgem on Sunday, holding off Jens Keukeleire in a two-man sprint on the line.
The undulating and cobbled course threw up the expected drama, with repeated attacks throughout and a chasing trio - led by Peter Sagan - almost hauling in the front two inside the final few kilometers.
However, Van Avermaet and Keukeleire worked together well enough to stay out on their own, with the BMC star proving too strong in a short sprint to the line.
Olympic gold medallist Van Avermaet has been in irresistible form so far this season, winning the E3 Harelbeke and Omloop Het Nieuwsblad Classics prior to taking to the start line in Gent.
And, after another superb display by the 31-year-old, the plaudits rained in.
