Tennant and Latham were the only British endurance riders in the men's event, with Matt Rotherham the sole British sprinter after Philip Hindes pulled out through injury, but following the riders' presentation on Tuesday night, Latham withdrew without stepping onto the boards.
Tennant continued without his partner, winning the second 40-Lap Derny of the night on Tuesday, before finishing second in the same event on Wednesday.
Six Day Amsterdam is the second event of new Six Day Series, following London in October, where international teams compete with the aim of qualifying for a one night spectacular final on the Spanish isle of Mallorca on 17 March 2017.
Further qualifying rounds will take place in Berlin and Copenhagen in the coming months, with the top 12 pairs sealing their spot in the finale.
"I've lost my partner so I'm on my own for a bit, so I'm just riding in some of the single events," said Tennant.
"If someone else gets ill in the next couple of days then I will be getting partnered up with them, to get another team going.
"Other than that, it looks like it might be an early flight home for myself."
