Tour of Turkey: Sam Bennett sprints to victory on Stage 1

Sam Bennett (BORA – hansgrohe) timed his move to perfection to claim the first stage of the Tour of Turkey.

Bennett, 26, eased ahead of Edward Theuns (Trek-Segafredo) and Simone Consonni (UAE Team Emirates) after a 176km ride from Alanya to Kemer.

Sam Bennett dominates Stage 1 finale

The Irishman avoided a nasty-looking crash in the final couple of kilometres to finish in 3 hours 57 minutes and 26 seconds.
