Jose Joquin Rojas stripped of overall lead for pushing in Movistar Catalunya time trial victory

Jose Joaquin Rojas was stripped of the overall lead in the Volta a Catalunya on Tuesday after he was handed a three-minute penalty for pushing during the time trial.
Teammate Alejandro Valverde took the lead, instead, after Movistar won the second stage time trial.
Spanish team Movistar, the penultimate team to complete the test, finished in 48:55 – just two seconds faster than BMC Racing, the favourites to win.
Trek Segafredo, who eventually finished in fourth place, initially took the lead, but couldn’t compete with BMC’s solid advantage of more than a minute.
Team Sky struggled in the early stages, dropping Diego Rosa, but nonetheless came in ahead of Trek, though 44 seconds behind BMC.
Rojas subsequently fell out of the top 30 in the overall classification after he was found to have pushed teammates Nelson Oliveira and Andrei Amador on a climb. The pair were also penalised by one and two minutes, respectively.
