Will heads Germany one-two at Longines FEI World Jumping Arab League qualifier in Al Ain

Riding Mic Max du Tillard, Will took top spot on the podium from fellow German Mic Max du Tillard after a clear round in the jump-off which was almost two seconds faster.

The 1.60 m Grand Prix in Al Ain was the sixteenth stage of the Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Arab League and saw a starting field of 37 horse and rider combinations come forward to compete.

Only ten combinations progressed to the final jump-off round, of which eight achieved clear rounds. After also posting the quickest clear round in the first round, Will’s faultless effort with Mic Max du Tillard second time around in a time of 40.93 was more than enough to take the victory.

Jörg Naeve and Carena 11 took second place also for Germany, with their clear round coming in a time of 42.70 second.
Third place went to Russia’s Vladimir Tuganov on Blue Buster with their faultless clear round stopping the clock in 43.47 seconds.

The Grand Prix in Al Ain was the final qualifying leg of the 2015/16 Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Arab League. Having got underway in Alexandria, Egypt in September 2015, the 2015/16 Arab League consisted of sixteen qualifying rounds hosted in venues including, Riyad, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Dubai, with riders aiming for qualification points and a place at next month’s Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Final in Gothenburg, Sweden.
