Habaj plots 2018 ERC return

Former Polish champion Łukasz Habaj doesn’t want his first major FIA European Rally Championship campaign to be his last to the extent he’s already spoken of his plans to return in 2018.

Habaj tackled six rounds in his Ford Fiesta R5 in 2017 and following a tough start to his campaign, he became a regular point-scorer, claiming a podium finish on Rally Liepāja in early October.

“The [Free Practice] accident on Rally Islas Canarias destroyed my season really, it was a really tough moment for me,” said Habaj. “I took a three-month break after that, got married and now I will do everything to be here again next season. The ERC is a great series, I will probably do all the season.”
