ACCR Czech Team’s Stanislav Kafka says Filip Mareš and Jan Hloušek’s maiden FIA ERC Junior Under 27 Championship victory owed plenty to their hard work ethic.
Mareš and Jan Hloušek took top class honours on Rally di Roma Capitale in their Peugeot 208 R2 – which is backed by the Czech federation – following a hugely impressive performance.

“Victory in ERC Junior U27 in P12 overall is a result which underlines the hard work of the whole team but especially of our crew during the entire season,” said Kafka. “It is very interesting to see their progress from total rookies in ERC up to the most prominent position on the podium.”

With ACCR Czech Team pair Jan Černý and Petr Černohorský winning ERC Junior Under 28 for the first time, the squad top-socred in the FIA European Rally Championship for Teams.

But while Mareš and Černý had plenty to celebrate in Italy, it was a different story for team-mates Dominik Brož and co-driver Petr Těšínský who retired from the ERC Junior U27 battle due to a mechanical failure on their Peugeot.
