Chris Ingram said he felt robbed after his run of FIA ERC Junior Under 27 wins ended on Rally Rzeszow last Saturday.
Although the Briton continues to top the championship table and remains in prime position to win the 100,000 euros career progression fund on offer to the champion for an ERC Junior Under 28 campaign in 2018, his margin over Opel team-mate Jari Huttunen has been trimmed to eight points after Huttunen scored his first win of the year in Poland.

Ingram, the class winner in Azores and Gran Canaria, started his Rally Rzeszow debut by setting the same time as Huttunen on Friday’s opening test. But his hopes of a third win ended when his ADAM R2 cut out on stage four and he and co-driver Elliott Edmondson were stranded for several minutes while they made running repairs.

“After making the perfect start to the season with two wins nothing has gone our way this weekend,” said Ingram. “It was such a hectic rally with crashes everywhere and only Jari had a clean run so it’s been a bit of a mess to be honest. It would be nice to have no dramas and a clean fight. We’ve been robbed a bit here but we’re still leading the championship.”
