Mareš claims Rzeszow ERC Junior podium for ACCR Czech Team

Second place in the FIA ERC Junior Under 27 Championship for Filip Mareš proved the highlight as the ACCR Czech Team continued its 2017 European campaign on Rally Rzeszow.
Co-driven by Jan Hloušek, Mareš produced a strong performance to land his second ERC Junior U27 podium with fellow ACCR Czech Team driver Dominik Brož battling gearbox issues to finish sixth in class.
“Of course I am really satisfied with this result and I would like to say a big thanks to my team and my co-driver,” said Mareš. “The car was fantastic, everything was good. The main target was to get a podium finish and we have done this so I ma very happy. I look forward to Barum now where hopefully we can be even more competitive.”
Jan Černý was also in action for the ACCR Czech Team and finished sixth in ERC Junior Under 28 following a frustrating event blighted by pacenote issues.
Brož, Černý and Mareš will now switch their focus to their home round of the ERC, Barum Czech Rally Zlín, which takes place from 25-27 August.
