Six of the best is best for ERC

Drivers chasing success in the FIA European Rally Championship’s ERC1, ERC2 and ERC3 categories will count their best six scores from a possible eight in 2017.

Part of a move to further control contests, the regulation change will also intensify the competition with the likelihood being that more leading drivers will go up against each other on the stages more often.

Meanwhile, ERC Junior U27 and ERC Junior U28 drivers will count their best four scores from six events.

The 2017 ERC begins with the Azores Airlines Rallye from 30 March-1 April.
