José Suárez hit back from his early exit on the penultimate event of the FIA ERC Junior Championship season with a lockout of class stage win on the final day of Rally di Roma Capitale.
Peugeot Rally Academy-run Suárez crashed out on Saturday’s opening test but impressed on his return to action, claiming an outright stage win to boot and finishing fourth in ERC Junior Under 28.

“This is how I drive,” said the Spaniard. “I'm so happy for the speed and the reliability we showed today, but also disappointed for what happened yesterday. My mechanics worked really hard to have the car ready for today and we experience no problems. So a big thanks to them and to all the crew. I was looking at the fight between Bouffier and Kajetanowicz and how they were enjoying it that I wanted to join the party for a bit.”
