Raphaël Chaussé has passed away

Raphaël Chaussé, the creator and team manager of Team R2CL, passed away in a road accident yesterday (Wednesday). Raphaël was a major figure in Endurance racing. He had been gearing up for Suzuka at the end of July.

Since 2009, Raphaël Chaussé had poured all his passion and energy into Team R2CL. His dogged determination and unstinting quest for perfection propelled Team R2CL into the ranks of the endurance world championship’s big hitters. Team R2CL’s finest hour came when it picked up 2nd place at the 24 Heures Motos in 2013 with riders Guy Martin, Dylan Buisson and Gwen Giabbani. Team R2CL MKS Partlya’s Suzuki #2 will be competing in the Suzuka 8 Hours on 30 July.
