Having held on to win 3-2 against Waasland-Beveren on the opening weekend of the campaign, things ran much smoother as they struck twice in the second half to secure a 2-0 victory at the Den Dreef on Sunday.
Idrissa Sylla opened the scoring on 70 minutes before Yoeri Tielemans sealed the win six minutes later as the Paars-wit took top-spot away from KV Oostende.
Standard Liege recorded their first win with a narrow 2-1 home success against Zulte-Waregem.
Eyong Enoh put Standard ahead inside six minutes before Mame Thiam levelled for Zulte on the half-hour mark.
The points stayed with the home side as Ivan Santini struck with 30 minutes remaining as they recovered from a first-week defeat to Kortrijk.
Meanwhile, Lokeren twice came from behind to share the spoils with Charleroi as they played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at the Daknamstadion.
The hosts fell behind to Roman Ferber's opener for Charleroi but were level 10 minutes later through Evariste Ngolok.
And Lokeren again showed their resilience when Dieumerci Ndongala put the visitors ahead for a second time on 67 minutes - this time only needing two minutes to equalise courtesy of Sergiy Bolbat.
