Aritz Aduriz signs new contract at Athletic Bilbao

Spain striker Aritz Aduriz has signed a new contract with Athletic Bilbao, the Basque club has announced.

The 36-year-old, who scored one goal in three appearances as Spain qualified for next summer's World Cup without losing a game, will remain with the LaLiga club until June 2019.

A statement on the club's website read: "Athletic Club and Aritz Aduriz have signed a contract renewal by which the player will remain with the club until 30 June 2019. His cancellation clause will be 40million euros."
