Aston Villa fans celebrate Steven Gerrard's birthday on their way to Wembley for the FA Cup final

Aston Villa paid a tongue-in-cheek tribute to former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard ahead of Saturday's FA Cup final against Arsenal.

Gerrard's final season at Anfield before jetting off on his MLS journey with LA Galaxy proved unsuccessful, with Villa beating Brendan Rodgers' side in the FA Cup semi-final and ending their silverware hopes in the process.

Germany, France and Spain all play host to cup finals on Saturday but it was Gerrard's 35th birthday that a section of Villa supporters decided to celebrate instead.
