Atletico Madrid have Alexandre Lacazette agreement

Olympique Lyonnais President Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed that Alexandre Lacazette “has a verbal agreement” with Atletico Madrid.

Atleti must now hope their appeal for a transfer ban to be overturned is successful, before settling on a fee with Aulas, who has a reputation for being a tough negotiator.

“Lacazette has a verbal agreement with Atletico Madrid, but it’s not certain that he’ll go there because CAS must lift their ban on signings,” the patron told L’Equipe.

“We’ve accepted the player’s request to talk to Atletico, but negotiations will be done on our terms.”

The development comes just a day after the France striker confirmed his desire to leave Lyon in the summer.
