The 30-year-old is effectively a replacement for Andre Schurrle, who earlier this summer made the opposite move.
With Dortmund also recruiting French sensation Ousmane Dembele, Blaszczykowski has been allowed to leave the club for a reported €5 million (£4.2m).

Blaszczykowski, who spent last season on loan at Fiorentina, said on Facebook: "New week, new challenge. Starting tomorrow. Ready for action!"
Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs told the club's official website: "Jakub Blaszczykowski is a great fit for the team, not only because of his footballing qualities but also because he leads by example when it comes to determination, commitment and passion.
"He is someone who fully identifies with the club he plays for. We are looking forward to him in a Wolfsburg shirt."
The winger won two Bundesliga titles with Dortmund under Jurgen Klopp and made a total of 253 appearances for the club, scoring 32 times.
