Dembele was presented as a Barcelona player on Monday after joining the Spanish giants as a replacement for Neymar in a deal which could reach up to £135m.
Yarmolenko, 27, has reportedly cost only £23m and joins Dortmund on a contract until June 2021.
The Ukraine international scored 137 goals in 339 matches for Kiev and can play either through the middle or in the wide attacking positions. He said on Monday:
I am very grateful that Dynamo Kiev fulfilled my dream of being able to switch to a big European club. I will work hard in training every day to help BVB achieve its highest goals – that’s always what I do.
"Andriy is a player we have been pursuing for a long time and who is on the top level both at club level and in the service of the Ukrainian national team," sports director Michael Zorc told reporters.
Yarmolenko made his senior debut for Kiev in 2008 and has scored 29 goals for his national team.
