The Gabon striker has long been a reported target of the biggest clubs across Europe, with Real Madrid, Manchester United and Chelsea all heavily linked.

And the forward, in an interview on French radio, has said that he needs to leave Dortmund if he wants to progress his career:
If I want to go to the next level, I need to leave in summer. Real Madrid is still a dream, but there has been too much noise, Aubameyang added. I love it at Dortmund, but I can't say that I'll stay for two more years, or five or 10. It's possible that a club could reach an agreement with Dortmund in June and I'll go. When you are ambitious and also want to see something else... it's difficult to talk about. Some players have ambitions, and therefore they leave and want to experience something new, you know.
Star striker Aubemayang has scored 70 Bundesliga goals for Dortmund since moving to the club in 2013, finishing the club’s top-scorer in each of the last two seasons and winning last year’s Bundesliga Player of the Year award.
The French-born forward spearheaded the campaign of Africa Cup of Nations hosts Gabon earlier in January, but was unable to inspire the tournament minnows out of the group stage.
