GOAL! Olympiacos have a late consolation!

Nikolaou, who earlier scored an own-goal, out-jumps Paulinho as a corner delivery is swung in, and he powers a header past ter Stegen.

A great moment for the 19-year-old.

87'

A ball is played through for Suarez, but Proto is off his line quickly to hack it clear. The Olympiacos goalkeeper has kept the score respectable this evening.

86'

The subsequent corner finds Paulinho whose header is straight into the arms of Proto.

85'

Barca launch a counter-attack, they have four against three, the ball is worked to Messi whose shot is well blocked by the feet of Proto.

83'

Lovely exchange between Suarez and Messi but the latter blazes a shot well over the bar.

82'

These two sides meet once again on October 31 when Barcelona travel to Greece.

Decent chance for Barcelona to further extend their advantage as they win a free-kick on the edge of the box, but Messi slightly over-cooks his cross and the ball goes out for a goal-kick.

Olympiacos win only their second corner of the evening but ter Stegen is alert to punch the delivery clear.

76'

Barca's decision to buy Paulinho raised eyebrows, particularly in England where he struggled at Tottenham, but the signing has been completely justified; the Brazilian has slotted in effortlessly in midfield - and he has enjoyed another impressive game.

74'

Barca seem content to keep possession as they wind the clock down. They have a number of key fixtures on the horizon, beginning with a home match against Malaga on Saturday.

53'

Time and time again, Barcelona have failed to get the adequate number of players inside the opposition penalty box this evening, and that is why only an own-goal separates the sides.

52'

Iniesta drives to the by-line and tries to find Digne with a cut-back, but Olympiacos manage to deal with the danger.

50'

Despite playing with a man less, Barca are still enjoying the lion's share of possession early in this second half.

49'

Suarez slices his shot but the ball bounces awkwardly inside the Olympiacos box and the Uruguayan then proceeds to foul the goalkeeper.

48'

Mascherano has taken up Pique's place at the back, so Barca continue with four at the back.

47'

The decision to replace Deulofeu is highly disappointing for Barcelona and the neutral fan as the winger had been stand-out player in the first period.

The second half begins without Deulofeu who has been replaced by Javier Mascherano as Valverde hopes to make his side more resolute, in response to Pique's sending off.

-

Barcelona completely dominated the first-half, but somehow only an own-goal by the unfortunate Olympiacos defender Nikolaou separates the sides at the break.

Suarez spurned a wonderful opportunity, Paulinho was denied by the woodwork, and Pique was shown his second yellow card for a bizarre handball.

Olympiacos will be hoping they can make their man advantage count in the second half.

PIQUE IS SENT OFF!

Celebrations quickly turn to astonishment in the Camp Nou as the defender puts the ball into the back of the net from Deulofeu's cross but is then sent off seconds later!

The referee disallows the goal and produces a second yellow card for Pique who is adjudged to have used his hand to bundle the ball over the line.

40'

A lovely bit of skill from Suarez takes him past Romao at the by-line, but he has little options in the box and his cross is cleared.

39'

Olympiacos are allowing Barca too many chances, and it is surprising that only an own-goal separates the side as we approach half time.

37'

Busquets is allowed time and space to deliver a cross from the left channel, but he can't find any of his team mates and the ball rolls out for a goal-kick.

Barca's relentless pressure continues, but it is still only 1-0.

36'

WIDE!

Barcelona can only partially clear from the set-piece, and the loose ball sits up nicely for Odjidja to have a shot, but his first-time volley drifts wide of the top right-hand post.

That was Olympiacos' first attempt at goal.

35'

Olympiacos finally enjoy some possession in the home side's half and win a free-kick. This is an opportunity to pump the ball into the penalty box.

34'

FORTUNATE

33'

At the top of his game, Suarez would have buried that opportunity. Yes, he scored at the weekend in Barcelona's 1-1 draw with Atletico, but there seems to be something not quite right with Suarez this season.

32'

GREAT SAVE TO DENY SUAREZ!

A beautiful pass from Messi releases Suarez in behind the Olympiacos defence, you are just waiting for the net to bulge, but the Uruguayan sees his low effort blocked by the feet of Proto!

30'

Quick feet from Deulofeu allows him a yard of space to deliver a cross, but it's deflected behind for a corner. The former Everton midfielder is really enjoying himself out there.

28'

Deulofeu is caught late, but still manages to deliver his cross which is well intercepted by the Olympiacos defence. Good refereeing by Willie Collum, who brings play back for a Barcelona free-kick.

27'

Attempts: Barcelona 8-0 Olympiacos.

26'

Paulinho tees up Messi with a clever knock-down, but the Argentine's shot is well blocked by an Olympiacos body inside the penalty area.

24'

Whisper it quietly, but Barcelona really seem in the mood tonight. It is a damage limitation exercise for Olympiacos, judging by the opening 24 minutes.

23'

OFF THE CROSSBAR!

Olympiacos' goalkeeper rushes off his line in an attempt to clear Iniesta's cross, but gets out-jumped by Paulinho whose header bounces off the woodwork!

22'

Down at the other end and Androutsos' disappointing cross is played straight into the arms of Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

20'

He is at it again! Deulofeu leaves his marker Leonardo Koutris in his wake, makes his way into the penalty box and smashes a shot at goal, but Silvio Proto does well to push the ball over the bar.

19'

Credit to Deulofeu, he delivered a teasing cross into a dangerous area, and Olympiacos' defence couldn't deal with it.

GOAL!

Barcelona find their way behind the away defence, Deulofeu fizzes a ball across the face of goal, and Nikolao inadvertently diverts the ball into his own net.

16'

A pocket of space opens up for Paulinho around 20 yards from goal. He gratefully accepts the invitation to shoot, but the ball is always rising and it ends up in the stands behind the goal.

15'

Barca have dominated the opening 15 minutes, but still the scores remain level. Suarez spurned the home side's best opportunity, but surely it is only a matter of time before the deadlock is broken.

14'

Barcelona can't create anything from the corner, but they are quickly back in possession.

13'

Dimitris Nikolao, only 19 years of age, is well positioned to cut out Deulofeu's cross at the near post, conceding a corner.

11'

Olympiacos launch a rare foray, earning a corner in the process, but Barcelona deal with the delivery comfortably. Set-pieces represent the visitors most likely threat this evening.

Gerard Pique goes into the book - the first player to be shown a yellow card this evening - for a cynical foul on Vadis Odjidja.

8'

Andres Iniesta almost picks out full-back Lucas Digne on the left, but the pass is slightly over-cooked and the ball rolls out for an Olympiacos goal-kick.

6'

Tonight represents an excellent opportunity for local man Deulofeu to stake a claim in Barcelona's first team. He is providing plenty of width for the hosts, and his pace should cause Olympiacos endless problems. He sees his cross deflected and cleared just now.

5'

SUAREZ MISSES!

Barcelona should be ahead. Umtitii glances a corner delivery to the back post, setting Suarez up for what should be an easy finish, but he somehow diverts the ball wide of goal!

4'

As expected, Barcelona are in complete control. The game will likely follow this pattern for the entire duration.

3'

A cross comes into the Olympiacos box and Alberto Botia misses his clearance! He is let off the hook though as his team mate hacks the danger away.

2'

Barcelona will get plenty of defenders forward tonight, and already Sergi Roberto wins the hosts a free-kick in midfield. Messi steps up to take the set-piece, but his attempted cross is blocked by the Olympiacos wall.

KICK-OFF!

Barcelona, in their famous red and blue, get the game underway.

19:44

Of course, the supporters are back in the Camp Nou this evening. There was an eerie feeling about Barca's last home game, a 3-0 victory over Las Palmas, when Catalonia independence referendum protests meant there were no supporters in attendance.

19:42

The wet conditions should suit Barcelona, and you would imagine the home side will be relishing the prospect of zipping the ball around the large pitch.

19:40

2,500 Olympiacos fans have made the trip for the club's first ever visit to Camp Nou, and I'm sure they weren't expecting this kind of weather.

Tonight's referee is Willie Collum, who incidentally is from Scotland, and he will be well used to such torrential rain.

19:35

It is a very wet evening in Barcelona; the rain is absolutely hammering it down.

19:30

STAT

Olympiacos have been involved in just one draw during their last 21 Champions League matches, qualifying included.

A point for the visitors would be very useful tonight...

19:25

As expected, Olympiacos line up very defensively in a 4-3-3 formation, which could translate to a 4-5-1 or 4-6-0 when not in possession.

Omar Elabdellaoui is a name Manchester City and Hull City fans will know, with the full-back spending time with both clubs in the Premier League.

19:20

IMPRESSIVE

19:15

Ivan Rakitic is on the bench, with the Croatian midfielder earning a well deserved and much needed rest. He is replaced by Paulinho, who plays alongside Sergio Busquets and Andres Iniesta.

Jordi Alba limped out of training on Tuesday and misses out tonight altogether, Cedric Digne deputising at left-back.

In attack, Gerard Deulofeu joins Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.

19:08

Having already defeated Juventus and Sporting, Barcelona will look to further tighten their grip on Group D.

A 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid at the weekend halted Ernesto Valverde's side run of nine straight victories, but they are firm favourites to get back to winning ways this evening against an Olympiacos side struggling for consistency.

Olympiacos, formerly managed by Valverede during two hugely successful spells, have lost both of their games in the Champions League, and are struggling domestically as well, sitting fifth in the Greek Superleague.
