David Beckham: England set for Euro 2016 success
Updated 02/09/2015 at 11:13 GMT
Former England captain David Beckham is convinced England have put their World Cup disaster behind them - and now they're ready for success at Euro 2016.
Roy Hodgson's side have won all six of their qualifying matches in Group E and can seal their place in France next year with victories against San Marino and Switzerland next week.
A win over San Marino might be enough, providing Slovenia fail to beat Switzerland.
England crashed out of the group stages at the World Cup in Brazil last year.
Beckham said: "We're in a strong position.
"We've got a young team, an ambitious team, a captain that wants to win.
"We've got a lot of young players coming through and a few that are at the top of their game. When you have a young team you have the unity that comes with that," he told Sky Sports News.
"I spoke to Wayne the other day. The players and team are in a good position, they are very happy with the way everything is going and they want to win."
