GOAL! STURRIDGE WINS IT!

Incredible! Daniel Sturridge somehow, somehow gets the ball home from close range! He starts the move with a pass into the box and Alli finds him superbly with a flick, with Sturridge maintaining his composure to slot home.

RASHFORD COMES ON

The 18-year-old appears for his major tournament debut and replaces Adam Lallana - so that means England have three strikers on the pitch, plus Wayne Rooney.

GOAL!!!! Vardy equalises! (56 mins)

Vardy turns one in from close range! Sturridge floats the ball back into the box and his cross is headed down to Vardy by Ashley Williams. The striker would have been offside if the ball had been played by an Englishman but it wasn’t. He tucks it away.

ROONEY FORCES SAVE (55 mins)

Nice from Wayne Rooney as he opens his body up and aims for the corner. The rolling shot is on target but Hennessey flings himself down to his left to turn it round the post.

HALF-TIME

England manager Roy Hodgson rolls the dice and off come Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling to be replaced by Daniel Sturridge and Jamie Vardy.

GOAL! WALES (42 mins)

Sensational strike! Gareth Bale lines up a free-kick from all of 35 yards and catches it superbly, the ball flying viciously through the air. But Hart should save it – he had to.

BIG SHOUT FOR HANDBALL (32 mins)

Kane challenges for a high ball in the box after a spell of England pressure and Ben Davies, a Tottenham team-mate jumps with him. The ball bounces off the hand of Davies but he had no idea where it was. No intent and no penalty.

CHANCE FOR ENGLAND! (26 MINS)

Danny Rose wins a free-kick 20 yards from goal and Rooney stands over the delivery. He whips in a dangerous cross and Gary Cahill finds space to angle a header at Hennessey, who saves.

ENGLAND MUST SCORE (7 MINS)

Adam Lallana gets away down the right and fires in a wicked cross for Raheem Sterling, who is arriving ahead of his man in the centre. He has to score, but fires over and wide from close range.
