Phil Jones and Henrikh Mkhitaryan have been included in Manchester United’s squad to face Fenerbahce in the Europa League.
The defender, who has not featured under manager Jose Mourinho, returns from a knee ligament injury with United in the midst of a defensive crisis. Eric Bailly is out with a knee problem, fellow centre-back Chris Smalling has a foot complaint, and Antonio Valencia was diagnosed with a fractured arm following the 1-0 win over Manchester City in the EFL Cup.
Anthony Martial, Tim Fosu-Mensah and Mkhitaryan are included in the 21-man group after missing recent squads but Michael Carrick, Antonio Valencia and Memphis Depay will remain in Manchester for the match on Thursday in Istanbul.
Bastian Schweinsteiger, who began training with the first team again this week, will also miss the trip having not been included in the Europa League squad.
United are level on six points with Feyenoord at the top of Group A, with Fenerbahce two further back and Zorya Luhansk bottom with only a draw to their name so far.
United squad: De Gea, Romero, Johnstone; Blind, Jones, Darmian, Fosu-Mensah, Rojo, Shaw; Fellaini, Herrera, Mkhitaryan, Lingard, Mata, Pogba, Schneiderlin, Young; Ibrahimovic, Martial, Rashford, Rooney.
