The other all-Premier League fixture sees Everton face defending Premier League champions Leicester City at Goodison Park.
Current holders Manchester United will play Reading, currently third in the Championship and led by former Red Devils defender Jaap Stam, while 2015 winners Arsenal head to Preston.
Tottenham host Aston Villa, Liverpool will face either Newport or Plymouth and Chelsea are at home to Notts County or Peterborough.
Last season's runners-up Crystal Palace head to Bolton, Southampton travel to Norwich and Bournemouth face a trip to Millwall.
Middlesbrough welcome Sheffield Wednesday, Stoke host Wolves and West Brom face Derby at home.
Sutton United’s Roarie Deacon, who scored a last gasp winner against Cheltenham in the competition on Saturday, might be disappointed by his non-league club's draw against AFC Wimbledon. Speaking ahead of the draw he told the BBC he hoped they would be drawn against Manchester United – and he fancied their chances, too.
Meanwhile Paul Cox, who manages National league club Barrow, might yet find himself looking a little unkempt by the end of January after drawing League One side Rochdale.
He said: "I’ve not had a haircut and I’m not shaving until we lose."
The third round takes place between January 6-8, following the second round replays which are scheduled for December 13.
