Here, Press Association Sport takes a numerical look at this season's cup campaign and the competition's history.
12 - Arsenal have won the FA Cup 12 times, level with Manchester United for the all-time record, and have the chance to move out in front on their own. Chelsea have seven wins to their name.
6 - Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger can set a record of his own if he wins the cup for a seventh time - he currently shares top spot with George Ramsay, whose Aston Villa sides won it on six occasions between 1887 and 1920.
20 - This will be a record 20th final for the Gunners - meaning they could also equal Everton's record of eight defeats in finals. It is Chelsea's 12th final.
7 - Of the 11 finals since the fixture returned to Wembley Stadium, this will be the seventh won by one of these two teams - Chelsea have four wins in the last 10 years and Arsenal two.
3 - If Chelsea win, they will become the third club to do the league and FA Cup double on more than one occasion, joining Arsenal and Manchester United who have each achieved the feat three times.
5 - Arsenal's Theo Walcott is the top scorer for either of the finalists in this season's competition, with five goals. For Chelsea, Pedro and Willian have four goals apiece.
6 - The overall tournament top scorers have one goal more than Walcott. The honour is shared by Tottenham forward Son Heung-min and Curzon Ashton's Adam Morgan.
16 - Arsenal's goal tally in their five ties, including 5-0 wins over Southampton and Lincoln. Chelsea have 15, scoring four against each of Peterborough, Brentford and Spurs.
8 - Eight different Chelsea players have scored in this season's competition. Arsenal have had seven on target, plus an own goal from Lincoln's Luke Waterfall.
23 - The number of players used by each team on their run to the final.
735 - The final will be the 735th tie contested in this season's FA Cup, dating back to the start of the extra preliminary round on August 5.
