Former Sunderland boss Gus Poyet is in advanced talks with AEK Athens over becoming the new manager of the Greek Super League side.
Poyet has been out of work since being sacked by Sunderland in March.
But the former Chelsea and Tottenham midfielder is apparently keen to return to management, and reports claim he has been considering job offers in England and on the continent.
According to reports in Greece, the Uruguayan is due to arrive in Athens on Wednesday for 'final talks' with AEK directors where he is expected to replace outgoing manager Traianos Dellas.
Poyet guided Sunderland to Premier League survival and the Capital One Cup final during his 18 months on Wearside.
