Harry Redknapp 'runs over wife Sandra in freak accident'

Sandra Redknapp suffered serious injury after her husband Harry, the former Tottenham manager, ran over her in a freak accident.

The incident occurred when Redknapp, 69, dropped his wife off in Westbourne in Dorset and her foot and coat became trapped in the car door.
An unaware Redknapp drove off and, in doing so, is said to have dragged his wife along the road.
"There was a lot of blood on the tarmac and Harry was beside himself," a witness told the Sun.
Mrs Redknapp, also 69, is said to have undergone surgery and is now recuperating.
“I was in a shop and a couple of people came in and said, ‘Crikey, there’s a lady who’s been dragged along the road’,” added another witness.
“Then someone else came in and said it was Harry Redknapp who had just dropped his wife off.
“I heard as he drove off she got her coat caught in the door. She was dragged along the road before he realised.
“I think she has been badly injured.”
The Telegraph report that a source close to the family confirmed Sandra had undergone an operation and was “fine”.
